My sister in law is so good and making holidays special for her kids. A while ago she told me about a Leprechaun trap that she does with her kids and I have wanted to try it. So last night we built our leprechaun trap and Willard put some treasure inside it and set the ladder so the leprechaun could climb in and then not be able to get back out...
During the night the leprechaun came and did all sorts of mischief in our kitchen and he got in the leprechaun trap and found a way to get out too!!! We awoke this morning to find our kitchen all messed up and a note from the leprechaun saying he had escaped from our trap but he left us a little gift for the treasure he took from us.
Our little Porky was VERY concerned about the chairs being over-turned and didn't stop saying uh-oh until we finally put them back up right. Willard was very excited about the treats the leprechaun left but he also wanted his treasure back (one penny and a nickel). To end off the morning we had green scrambled eggs and green buttered toast. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
That is darling! I can't wait to do stuff like this.
ReplyDeleteso glad you tried it! I swear my kids like St. Patrick's day more than Christmas! They woke up in the middle of the night and discovered the decorations. They seriously wanted to get up and it was between 3 and 4 in the morning! I was like, uh, no. They were so excited and surprised to find the furniture tipped over. They also got treats and Lucky Charms. Chris made green jello and poured it into cups. He added a couple of their toys and left a note saying the leprechauns got in there and turned the juice hard and put the toys in! Oh, this is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try this next year! I saw one were they tried to catch the leprechaun in a laundry basket. I didn't think Damien would enjoy as much as I would so I think we will wait one more year!!
